I basically hate this pose.
It’s freakishly hard to breathe as you use your core to pull your legs and arms up and together. And it hurts. A lot.
OR I hated this pose until Saturday, when my teacher told us to try and lift everything up higher on each inhale. Inhale in, and up you go.
Of course you have to come down a little on the exhale, but as you let each inhale push you higher (and completely exhaust you), it’s amazing how much you can open.
It’s kind of like flying.
