Too much work, broken laptop, busy schedule, yada yada yada. Enough excuses. This week is a catch up of what I have been doing. Lately I am loving:
Blow outs. Blessed (cursed) with super thick, curly hair, I can go ages between washes, especially with my new favorite product, Kevin Murphy Fresh Hair. So even with a regular yoga practice, I am hanging up my Chi straightener for hair blown out with a round brush and curled at the bottom for bouncy texture. Perfect for the office, yet pretty and flattering.
Schooled. This book is perfect if you loved The Nanny Diaries and are just not feeling literary right now. OR if you are in major Gossip Girl withdrawl. Reading on my iPad and addicted.
iPad and Dodocase.
When my laptop died, I snapped up a used iPad 3 at our local Apple store, MacHQ. I was lucky enough to get my fantastic Dodo for Christmas. Before you get too excited, B designed this fabulous thing for me, so you’re going to have to put your creative minds to work in designing your own. I don’t know how I lived without it.
Giving up meat. This was a long decision coming, but it’s here and official on March 1, 2013. I’m leaving some room for the extraordinary, but really, my body doesn’t want beef, pork, or turkey anymore and I finally feel ready to make the best ethical decision I can by going pescatarian.
Luckily I love fish and am excited about my vegetarian options. Still nibbling at turkey and chicken this week, but everything else is out.
Yoga at home. I have loads to write about yoga, but the biggest thing I love is having a daily home practice. Interestingly, this came with really clicking with a new teacher, whose classes I LOVE, but who also inspires me to practice at home every day. I often work harder on my own or let myself try and fail a bunch.
Don’t get me wrong. I am all about yoga classes, workshops, teachers, and friends. I just like finding the yoga inside me more than anything.
